Why a virtual service
Work-life balance
After more than 30 years in management consulting, I decided to retire. While many long-standing clients still sought my advice, that chapter of my career formally came to an end three years ago. Reflecting on what I would do if I were starting again with the goal of supporting SMEs, one thing was certain: it would have to be virtual. I no longer wanted the constant travel, hotel stays, airport lounges, and lengthy project meetings that so often define a consultant's life.
Today, I provide straightforward guidance, share practical insights, and make introductions to trusted businesses and professionals who can help. The difference is that I now do it from a desk in a small bedroom on England's east coast rather than from boardrooms and conference centres globally.

Fellowship is awarded by peers in recognition of a deep understanding of all aspects of business, together with a proven track record of helping companies and fellow IIB associates solve complex challenges.
Although the IIB has naturally diminished as many consultants have retired, he remains proud to use the designation, knowing it was awarded through the respect and recognition of his fellow consultants.
